This buffet had a veneer top that was cracked and peeling. I removed the veneer to reveal a pretty maple top, that I finished in a clear stain and satin polyurethane. The buffet originally had a lot of competing textures and colors of wood grain. I cleaned and repaired the drawers of the buffet, paying close attention to the lifting veneer. After priming and painting a warm grey, it started to sing. I like recycling hardware as well, so I took the original black hardware and painted it a pretty brass color. The inside of the cabinets were painted a soft blue-grey to complete the look.
